I could use some advice on smelting, mostly silver but there is some gold in the mix too. Seems this travel trailer in the mountains had a problem with one of its gas lanterns and it ignited both propane tanks which blue up and made short order out of this old boys camp spot and severly burned the man when he tried to re-enter the trailer to retrieve some valuables. The man had a large collection of mostly silver coins but also some gold too, the problem, I have a bunch of blobs of who knows what all melted together one of them weighing close to 25 lbs. I need to know what kind of flux I need that will not damage the silver or gold but still remove all the other crap that is in the mix. does anyone out there have any experience with this type of a problem? Thank you, WillieB

here is some good info: I personaly would melt it all together and assay it to see if its worth the trouble.
