Howdy! My name is Jeff and I reside in Reno, Nevada. Member of GPAA and looking forward to my first trip to a GPAA claim next month. Just panning, and running a dip box. Anyone have any experience working the GPAA claims here in Nevada?
I have panned for gold on the Yuba back in the 70's and this summer in Juneau Alaska  and found some color and pickers. have a great day! Jeff

Been wanting to try Alaska for years now...lucky you.. GPA claims are open to all to use provided you belong and have your handbook. There is alot of pickers in Nevada streams but one should use the GPA maps and check out outlaying creeks and streams. Have not done much due to the dredge ban...sigh....I have had great luck below the Tahoe basin. There is some old Glaciers still present and you would might want to do some cracking around those areas. I have pulled out some nice pickers right on the bedrock. Winters coming fast so you might want to get on the Calif side of the mountains and try along the head of the Stanislas river.. Good claims there as well as hard to reach ones.
